Seal unbeaten run will be on the line as Murang’a SEAL face Mathare United at Police Sacco Stadium, aiming to stretch their undefeated streak to 10 league matches. The Nairobi tie caps a strong finish to 2025 for the promoted side.
SEAL closed last year without a defeat, piecing together nine games unbeaten. Their last loss came on October 26 in a narrow 1–0 reverse to Tusker. Since then, they have drawn with Posta Rangers and Kakamega Homeboyz and beaten KCB, Kenya Police and Mara Sugar. The surge has lifted SEAL to 18 points from 14 matches, placing them in the league’s upper half heading into the weekend.
Skipper Joe Waithira says the group wants a fast start to 2026. He praised head coach Osborne Monday’s influence and highlighted the squad’s energy and discipline in recent weeks. Waithira also credited the fan base as the team’s “12th man,” urging continued support.
The Slum Boys return home after a 1–0 defeat to Bandari before the festive break. Saturday’s clash is scheduled for Police Sacco Stadium in Nairobi.
SEAL held the edge last season, winning the first meeting 2–0 and drawing the return 1–1. That record adds context to today’s contest as both clubs chase momentum in the tight mid-table pack.
After Mathare, SEAL face champions Gor Mahia at Kasarani Annex on January 14 before completing the first leg against Bidco United on January 18 at St. Sebastian Park. The upcoming run will test their depth and resolve.
SEAL’s task now is simple: protect the platform they built late in 2025. Extend the streak to 10, and they reinforce their status as one of the league’s most resilient sides
